Roflpillar is an experimental game where two players lie on the ground and wiggle around to control two caterpillars on screen. So far it has been shown at a bunch of places, including:
There’s a nice writeup about it over on indiegames.com which talks a bit about the development of Roflpillar, along with some technical and conceptual background.
Originally built for Game City Nottingham, we created a little fort with some fabric and wood to hold a screen facing downwards. Players would lie down, strap on the belts, and squeeze their heads inside to start playing. The screen is just a few inches away from the player’s noses, the graphics are bubbly and silly, and pretty much everyone who plays walks away with a smile on their face.
It’s always quite a hit, with tons of people playing (including an amazing number of 4-year-olds). As an added bonus, it’s a wonderful experience for spectators.

Keith Stuart at the Guardian called it “hilarious” in his roundup of the festival and IndieHaven picked it as one of the “Things to Watch Out For”.
